Zimbabwe announces squad for Pakistan tour

Zimbabwe announced a 16-man squad on Tuesday to tour Pakistan for three one-day and two international T20.



The tour starts on March 22, it is the first by a test playing nation since the terrorist attacks on the Sri Lanka team in March 2009 which killed six Pakistani policemen and two civilians were killed and six members of the Sri Lanka team bus were injured.

Zimbabwe is going on in this round despite security warnings by the International Federation of cricket.

Last week, a delegation from Zimbabwe Cricket in Lahore to assess security arrangements.

SQUAD: Elton Chigumbura (captain), Iskandar Raza Butt, Chamunorwa Chibhabha, Charles Coventry, Graeme Cremer, Craig Ervine, Roy Kaya, Hamilton Masakadza, Christopher Mpofu, Tawanda Mupariwa, Richmond Mutumbami, Tinashe Panyangara, Vusimuzi Sibanda, Prosper Utseya, Brian Vitori Sean Williams.
