Trevor Bayliss: England name Australian as new head coach

Trevor Bayliss has been delegated as the first Australian to mentor England.

The 52-year-old New South Wales mentor succeeds Peter Moores, whose second spell finished in a sacking in ahead of schedule May.

Bayliss drove Sri Lanka from 2007-2011, took provisional charge of Australia  for their Twenty20 arrangement in South Africa in 2014 and has honed Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.


"It's an honor to be delegated England mentor," said Bayliss. "I solidly accept that the group has a splendid future."
