With BCCI dawdling on the issue of mentors, there is disarray over the structure of the bolster staff which will go with the Indian group to Bangladesh, the visit now being not as much as a fortnight away .
The squad will take the flight to Dhaka on June 7, with the solitary Test set to start at Fatullah on June 10.
It is being hypothesized that with brief time left to locate another mentor or group chief, the Board may want to stick to the present set-up of group executive Ravi Shastri, and partner mentors Sanjay Bangar, Bharat Arun and R Sridhar. Then again, dependable sources in the BCCI told TOI on Wednesday that none of these have been requested that go to Bangladesh "as of date". "We haven't identified with any of them in this way," affirmed a Board official.
This advancement powers the possibility that the BCCI may have officially decided or are in converses with contender for the position of a mentor group chief. Previous India captain Sourav Ganguly has been tipped to assume control over the employment. "Every one of us were occupied with the IPL till May 24. We will name the new mentor soon," guaranteed a board official.
