England’s Kate Cross takes eight wickets in men’s league game

England international bowler Kate Cross made history as I took eight wickets in the league men Lancashire and match.

Cross, the daughter of former West Ham striker David, recorded eight numbers for 47 fixture at Heywood in the Central Lancashire League against Unsworth, who threw out for 121 and lost six wickets.



Cross became this season's first woman to play in the league in its history 123 and Heywood helped to third place in the table.

"What in the afternoon it wasECB_cricket ll @ katecross16 who dismantled Unsworth_CC batting order," read a tweet from the official Twitter account and Lancashire.

Speaking last month, Prime Haywood, John Rhodes: "Kate plays for XI first represented a proud moment too for the club. At a time when there is a strong focus of the Board of Cricket Lancashire and the European Central Bank on the development and growth of cricket woman I am pleased that we continue to play a role at this time exciting for women and girls to the game. "
