David Saker is returning home as the new mentor of the Victorian Bushrangers following five fruitful years as England's knocking down some pins mentor, including two triumphant Ashes battles.
Cricket Victoria affirmed on Friday that Saker had marked a three-year arrangement to supplant Greg Shipperd, who drove the state side to the current year's Sheffield Shield five star local title.
Cricket Victoria said the England and Wales Cricket Board permitted him to end his agreement early. Saker was England's knocking down some pins mentor when they won the Ashes from Australia in 2010-11 and 2013.
The 48-year-old Saker, who guaranteed 209 wickets in his playing profession for Victoria from 1995-2000, will likewise mentor the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash Twenty20 association.
