Men league overrun by English Women

England Khayat Kate Cross takes a remarkable eight-wicket haul in the University of Central Lancashire



After making history as the first woman to play in the league of the Central Lancashire, England has raised international Kate Cross the ante with a dominant performance bowling. Player, aged 23 years at 3.19 in the first game was impressive enough, but the Cross went one step better on the weekend and published a fascinating figures of 8-47 to help Heywood Cricket Club first roll XI Unsworth of 121. Cross, who will be a key member of the England attack through women's ashes in July, and now leads the tally Wicket Heywood for this season with 14 scalps.
