Andrew Strauss rules out Kevin Pietersen's return due to lack of trust

Andrew Strauss, the new director of England cricket, ruled out the return of Kevin Pietersen in the near future. Strauss said addressing the media for the first time after taking on the new role that the issue with Petersen did not work, but a lack of confidence.

"Over the months and years of trust between him and the European Central Bank have been eroded ... so we decided it's not in the short-term interest from the side it is to be in this team," said Strauss ruling Petersen effectively out of the return of the ashes of this summer.
