I was very lucky to play first-class level. I understand the makings of a player, you understand what makes players excel, what kind of coaching you need, what kind of playing surfaces. All experiments help being a player and gives you a certain perspective when you're on the management side. The gaming experience, along with the fact that you've trained chartered accountant, has done a lot to help me in game management.
