They champion the last World Cup. The top two ranked ODI teams. Two cricket three financial giants. There is much that is critical about any over-50 meeting between Australia and India, especially so close to the beginning of the last World Cup.
But there is also much that is uncertain. Headed India by a captain who retired just test matches and hanging on to tilt else in limited amounts crown he lifted in 2011. The Socceroos captain ruled out of this completely tournament, not certainty to take any participation in the same cup, leaving leadership in the hands of George Bailey.
Then there is the light of the border series, the last tennis campaign, which Stephen Smith and Cooley Ferrat all shown themselves to be a tennis prominent home for a distance test, but the team gave reasons for their peers to stop. Did not beat Australia does not always seem certain despite a series of very friendly courts, while the pace of Mitchell Johnson ebbed away a touch of the peak hit last season. India's bowlers proved too inconsistent to keep the pressure on the foundations of Australia and wide, raising questions about whether the combination of ODI similar could certainly be able to do it in this series.
Billy and MS Dhoni oppose each other in the last series for one day between these parties, to meet exciting and astronomical conclusions term scoring. Australia led the series early before fading, and lost the final game when Johnson was sent home to prepare him for the Ashes. Johnson will be missing again on Sunday, but this time the goal for both sides will be clear - the bed down their collections, and confidence-building, and perhaps a bit of a dent by the opponents of the right cup. May well meet again at the MCG come March 29.
