Sri Lanka has decided to Cricket (SLC) to form a committee to investigate the issue involving India cricketer Suresh Reina, who was seen with the girl tied to the bettor in a hotel in Dambulla a few years ago.
According to the Hindustan Times, the decision was made to form a committee to investigate the matter at a meeting of the Executive Committee on 18 December last year. The Special Committee will include Shami Silva, Gamini and Akramasnge and people who take other positions.
The report added that Silva raised the issue during the meeting, saying that the media complain if the Sri Lankan board any role in this case, then "they should protest against the same."
According to the minutes of the meeting, "and said that Silva was a match-fixing a serious issue, and if you do not give Lawrence Fernando (security adviser and then SLC) report to the Council, then it should contact inquired. Has endorsed President SLC decision to form a committee to investigate.
Back in 2010 showed CCTV footage of the Indian team Reina hotel with a girl, known to be an associate of a person linked to the bettor. At that time vice president of control for cricket in India board (BCCI), Rajiv Shukla was explained that the woman was Reina's agent.
